  • asset safeguarding

Education and background

I’m proud to be a veteran, a U.C. Davis Aggie, and a native of Northern California.

In 2002, I received my Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Davis School of Law. Following my admission to the California Bar, I served as a lieutenant and Legal Assistance Department Head in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where I represented sailors, Marines, and Coastguardsmen in estate planning and other civil matters.

In 2016, I returned to the practice of law after a decade as a project manager and director in the corporate consulting world. I recently completed a post-graduate LL.M. (Master of Laws) degree in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate, which has strengthened and updated my knowledge of trusts, wills, estates, and taxation.

Affiliations

As a sole practitioner, I relish the challenges that come with being a thoughtful and thorough advocate for my clients as well as a small business owner.

In addition to the State Bar of California, I am a member of the California Lawyers Association Trusts and Estate and Solo and Small Firm sections, which provide the most up-to-date estate planning strategies for solo practitioners.

I stay up to date on the latest estate planning, probate, and trust administration techniques, case law, and ethical requirements through my membership in WealthCounsel, a lawyer-led organization that provides continuing legal education to estate planning practitioners. This ensures that I have the resources to provide my clients with the most up-to-date advice and effective tools they require to achieve their objectives.
